With the spirit of Jack Kerouac, the schtick of Louis Prima, and the spunk of Jerry Lee Lewis, The Dino Martinis are Canada's premiere jump blues band. Throw them in a blues club, a jazz room, a swing stage, or a rock gig - and the group feels right at home. A good thing too, because after years of trying to nail their sound to the latest fad, the media has finally thrown up its arms and accepted The Dino Martinis as something that stands alone.

The Dino Martinis have become one of today's hardest working and critically acclaimed jump blues bands. Combining their playing chops with their unique writing chops, The Dinos have released three records ("Bottle Collector's Lounge," "Steak and Comedian Night" and the new Christmas CD, 50,000,000 Santa Fans Can’t Be Wrong) all to rave reviews. Two videos ("Ring" and "Friday's Tired") are currently in rotation on MuchMoreMusic and Bravo! networks. A third will premiere this year, "The Language of Love," the band’s bent "mocumentary" about its 50’s wonder years and questionable revival. Their tunes have appeared on a variety of film and television soundtracks. The Dino Martinis have played across Canada, from Victoria to Toronto’s Open Mike to the Montreal Jazz Festival. The band has also played some of the best blues/swing stages in Seattle, New York, Las Vegas, Austin, San Franciso, and Los Angeles - including a benefit show for Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg.

But above all else, The Dino Martinis remind us of what old school entertainment used to mean.
