Cindy O'Neil BIO
Beginning her performance career at 18 years old, Cindy has had a great deal of stage and voice over experience. Being involved with Insight Theatre and Black Hat Entertainment (in Ottawa), both improv-based companies, laid the footings for her expertise in adapting to whatever may arise during live performances.
To further enhance her film, television and theatre pursuits, she took up singing professionally in 1991. Originally from Ottawa Ontario, Miss O’Neil worked with various bands before heading west. In September 1994 she moved to Calgary and began building a foundation in the local music scene.
In the last 4 years Cindy has made her mark on the city of Calgary. A busy performance schedule, as well as multiple television and special event appearances have enabled her to develop a strong following.
Produced by Krisjan Leslie (Zuckerbaby, Ann Loree, Tariq), Cindy’s latest CD Flight contains 11 engaging tracks, enhanced with 3 short videos of the studio recording sessions. Recorded at Sundae Sound in Calgary, mixed & mastered in Toronto (Metalworks Studio), this album resonates with the warmth and rich tone of Cindy’s distinct voice.
Miss O’Neil's flexibility is shown in performances she has given, from a capella (national anthem) to duos at private parties, trios through to six piece ensembles at clubs and festivals. Cindy is blessed with an indomitable spirit and boundless vitality, which is hard to miss when you meet her. When performing, her high energy and fluid movement allows Cindy to create an easy interactive rapport with people. Committed to her craft, she works diligently to maintain integrity in everything she does.
